All auditions are open to the public, regardless of race, gender, background or experience. In fact, at least 25% of each cast is brand new to our theatre. It's not just a habit; it's a policy.

Our fall musicals are traditionally Broadway Jr. titles and are only open to students ages 8-18. All other productions are cast based on needs of the script. It is our mission to provide opportunities for students, but we offer a handful of roles for adults every season.

DESIGN APPRENTICESHIPS
Our mission to train young artists is not limited to performers. Every DMYAT production includes high school Design Apprenticeships working alongside professional artists in a variety of theatre fields, including scenic design, directing, choreography, stage management and dramaturgy. Apprenticeships are expected to attend production meetings and any work calls or rehearsals required for their position. All positions require attendance during tech week.

DIRECTORS & DESIGNERS
We are always looking for designers to join our family. We've worked with professional directors & designers with years of experience and have given others their first opportunity. We are interested in designers who embrace the mentoring aspect of our organization... more than your experience.

VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES
Like most community theatres, volunteers are the heart of our organization. We cannot exist without you! There are opportunities for anyone who wishes to support DMYAT, regardless of age or experience!
Opportunities often include: working front of house at performances, building our sets and costumes, distributing posters, organizing storage, thrifting for that hard-to-find prop, running lights or sound, and more!
